Are available now :  our 100% Cabernet Sauvignon (2017) and

100% Grenache (2017) !

These wines were named after the 2 oldest male grandchildren of
the family Van Coppenolle.

Daan is the Cabernet Sauvignon, a strong wine radiating the Spanish sun. There is a touch of black fruit and raisins in the beginning, topped off with ceder, mint and licorice. Finally, there is a hint of green paprika followed with a lot of coffee and chocolate. Filled to the brim with taste, yet smooth and soft as silk.

DAAN is a perfect fit with red meat, preferably grilled and medium-rare, or paired in autumn with a seasoned lamb stew or with braised msuhrooms.  It will also fit perfectly with some blue cheese.

ALEJANDRO  is a fine Grenache with huge bouts of fruit supported with beautiful acids, followed with a mouthful of spices: a lot of laurel, pepper and cloves finished off by some smoke and tobacco from the barrel.

Pair our ALEJANDRO with some slowly cooked meat - lamb or pork - with strongly seasoned tajine or curry-based dishes or rabbit with plums.  He will tall strong among these flavours.

Do not serve this wine too warm - 18°C is advised - and enjoy !

Blanc de Canet 2019 12.5% vol (“the white” from Canet)

The new Blanc de Canet remains our topper! This white wine is a fresh blend of Verdil, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier. Harvested overnight and aged under nitrogen mantle. Our Blanc de Canet is a fruity wine with a light grapefruit hint, butter and round on the palate, which acquired a mature character after a few months of aging in French oak.

Serve cool!

New: Roig de Canet 2017 (14.5% vol)

This Roig 2017 is a typical Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (80%) and Merlot (20%). The grapes are picked by hand. After picking, the harvest goes into the refrigerator for 24 hours to continue cooling to about 4 ° C. In the cooling process, the wood of the bunch of grapes softens so that we minimize chunks left behind during the de-crystallization, and with cooled grapes we can work much more hygienically. Each grape variety ferments separately and after vinification has matured for 8 months in French oak barrels. Only then were these wines blended. A garnet red wine with fresh acidity and firm tannins, aromas of black fruit and wood, nice acidity. This Roig can certainly ripen even further in the bottle.

Roig de Canet 2015 (crianza)
